Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar has said that, according to the Islamic Shariah and beliefs, Eid-ul-Adha services will be held at the famous Eidgah in Srinagar at 9 am.
The Eid prayers will be held at the Historic Jama Masjid in Srinagar if it rains or is cloudy, the Anjuman Auqaf said. The services will still be held at the same time.
The Anjuman has asked the people to take part in congregational prayers to show that the ummah is united and to keep order. People have been asked to bring their prayer rugs (Jai Namaz).
In honour of Eid-ul-Adha and the holy days of Qurbani, Anjuman Auqaf once again asks the authorities to release Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, “who continues to be under arbitrary house arrest for the last four years, since August 2019, causing pain to people and keeping him from his religious dawa work.”
