In Poonch, J&K, a young man drowns after falling into a river

Poonch, May 30: A 25-year-old boy died on Monday evening after falling into a river in Poonch’s Mandi district, according to government sources on Tuesday.

Tariq Ahmad, a resident of Chambar in Mandi tehsil, was heading home from Mandi after shutting his business when he stumbled amid heavy rains in the region, according to police.

When he did not return home, residents and family members launched a search, and his corpse was discovered along the Chambar River, they claimed.
