Almost 400 jawans and commanders attended the IRP 18th Bn’s Darbar on 12 June at Battalion Hqrs DPL Jammu.

In his talk to the jawans, the IGP Armed urged them to do their duties with complete commitment, honesty, and presence of mind to prevent any incident in the future, particularly during the upcoming SANJY-2023 and religious holidays.

He underlined the need of enhancing even the most fundamental aspects of their responsibilities as guards, police, and security personnel, as well as those tasked with maintaining traffic flow throughout the yatra. He also encouraged the jawans to maintain a healthy body via exercise, yoga, and proper nutrition. He also emphasised the need of consistently gauging health and fitness via regulated eating practises.

Later, the visiting officials met with the unit’s GO’s and NGO’s individually, stressing the need of preparing the jawans for impending difficulties, working in conjunction with sister agencies and other forces, and caring for the jawans in terms of their needs and true requirements. Kulbir Singh SSP, CO IRP-18th Bn., also provided a detailed briefing to commanders on the battalion’s responsibilities and tasks, assuring the IGP that all essential orders would be taken for the benefit of the jawans.
