Mohammad Bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, secretary general of the Muslim World League, arrived in New Delhi on Monday, July 10.

The trip will undoubtedly strengthen the arguments, beliefs, and perspectives that value and honour diversity. On Monday, Haji Syed Salman Chishty, chairman of the Chishty Foundation, tweeted about the GaddiNashin-Dargah Ajmer Sharif.
During his six-day trip to India, Al-Issa, a major voice of moderation and peace advocacy, will meet with India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval for a private discussion tonight. At 11 a.m. on July 11 at the India Islamic Cultural Centre’s BS Abdur Rahman Auditorium, Al-Issa will speak to a group of influential religious and community leaders, scholars, and members of the media at the invitation of the Khusro Foundation.
Ajit Doval, the National Security Advisor (NSA), will also give a speech. Between July 10 and 15, Al-Issa will be in India.
As per reports, Al-Issa is anticipated to see India’s Minister for External Affairs, S Jaishankar, and Minister for Minority Affairs Smriti Irani, and he may possibly call on the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
In addition to meeting with the Vivekanand International Foundation’s president, he will also get the opportunity to speak with a group of highly respected religious leaders. Sources say he may go to the Akshardham Temple to mingle with the rich and famous.
A highlight of his time in the nation’s capital will be attending Friday prayers at Jama Masjid Delhi. The city of Agra is also on his itinerary.
Among Islamic scholars, Al-Issa stands out as a prominent advocate for moderation within the faith. He also advocates for religious tolerance and global harmony.
He is well recognised as a significant Saudi religious leader, Islamic scholar, and reformer. Al-Issa was the Minister of Justice in the Saudi Cabinet until being named Secretary General of the Muslim World League in 2016.
Al-Issa has led projects to establish alliances and enhance connections across varied groups, religions, and countries in his role as Secretary General of the Muslim World League, a prominent non-governmental organisation representing Muslims worldwide.
He is also the head of a group of powerful people from all walks of life—government, religion, the media, business, and the community—who are working together to find solutions to the problems that plague modern society and the globe.
