Imams in Baramulla respond to a police order to give anti-drug sermons on Friday

Srinagar, July 9: In Awantipora, the police have arrested two known drug dealers under the PIT-NDPS Act after getting official detention orders from the right authority. This is part of their ongoing efforts to get rid of drugs as a social problem.

Shabir Ahmad Parray, who lives in Katipora Chersoo, and Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, who lives in Chersoo, are two known drug dealers. They have been booked under the PIT-NDPS Act after getting official arrest orders from the right authority and then put in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu.

It’s important to note that these drug dealers have been charged with many crimes, and they were involved in the drug trade by selling drugs to young people in Awantipora and other parts of the Police District. Even though they were involved in many FIRs, they didn’t change what they were doing and were back to giving drugs to young people in the area to encourage drug use.
