24 June, Srinagar: According to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the lives lost by J&K Police officers are a “testament to what Kashmir and its people stand for” on Saturday.
It is a monument to what Kashmir and its people stand for that so many Jawans of the @JmuKmrPolice have given their life fighting terrorists and safeguarding innocent fellow citizens, as Shah put it.

Shah has previously visited Srinagar, where he met with the families of police martyrs and personally handed out appointment letters on behalf of the J&K government.
During his two-day visit to Jammu & Kashmir, Shah launched a number of important infrastructure projects.
