The three-day free Artificial Limb Fitment Camp, which was put together by the Dagger Gunners under the auspices of the Dagger Division and in partnership with Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayta Samiti (BMVSS), ended on Wednesday in Baramulla.

The event happened at Chinar Yuva Baramulla from October 16th to 18th, and this kind act has given disabled people in the area new hope.

Inspired by a similar camp held by the Indian Army and BMVSS last year, the goal of this year’s event was to give disabled people custom-fitted arms and callipers to improve their movement and quality of life in general.

According to the measures taken during the camp, customised solutions can now be made that will greatly enhance the lives of the campers.

Essential tools and extras, like auxiliary crutches, wheelchairs, polio callipers, and hearing aids, were also given out at the camp for free to qualified recipients.

For up to 174 people, including children from the Baramulla area, these life-changing services were provided during the camp.

A spokesperson for the organisation said, “This initiative has not only given practical support but also given people with special needs a renewed sense of hope and empowerment, making it a resounding success.”
