Srinagar, July 26: A captivating story of magic and desire is taking place in Kashmir, a region renowned for its natural beauty and rich cultural legacy. Meet Raja Aadam, an engineer who realised his aspirations while capturing audiences’ attention as an illusionist.

Aadam, who is from the Tral neighbourhood in the Pulwama district of south Kashmir, is the first person from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to make a name for himself in the world of magic. He has done this by developing a platform to highlight the undiscovered abilities of Kashmiri youth.

Beginning with simple magic acts and mind-reading performances, Aadam quickly advanced to larger platforms. His extraordinary talents attracted viewers’ attention and inspired him to enter the famous “Kashmir Got Talent” competition, where he finished as a runner-up. He was inspired by this acknowledgment, and with the assistance of powerful people like Shah Faisal and Omar Trambo, he decided to represent Kashmir in the Global Fest, where he won the coveted All India Rank 1.

The governor of Jammu and Kashmir saw the young illusionist’s brilliance and bestowed upon him various honours, including the titles of “First Ever Illusionist of Kashmir” and “Youth Icon Of Kashmir.” In addition, he was chosen for the prestigious “India’s Got Talent,” however unexpected events during the 2016 performances ended his trip.

Aadam persisted and was passionate about his work despite the obstacles. Later, he was chosen for the iconic Sony TV programme “India Kae Mast Kalandar,” where he appeared with notable figures from the Bollywood industry including Mika Singh, Gita Kapoor, Badshah, and Sonu Sood. He finished the show in second place because to his excellent performances, further solidifying his reputation as one of the best illusionists in the nation.

After receiving praise and recognition from several distinguished venues, Aadam decided to give back to his neighbourhood. He established the chat programme “Adams Apple,” which highlights the many talents of Jammu and Kashmir. The programme, which is now in its fifth season and has aired more than 70 episodes, is the longest-running private discussion programme in the area.

The benefits Aadam has provided to Kashmir’s youngsters go beyond magic. He fervently believes in the efficacy of mind-reading and hypnosis as resources for children’s moral development and personal growth. He works to instill self-confidence in the younger generation via his platform, encouraging people to pursue their hobbies without hesitation.

Raja Aadam recently achieved a historic first by organising Kashmir’s first YouTube Festival at Tagore Hall in Srinagar. The main event further promoted the area’s rising talents to a worldwide audience by bringing well-known YouTubers and social media influencers together under one roof.

Raja Aadam gives a straightforward yet powerful message to the Kashmiri youth as we dive inside his mind: “Follow your passion and trust in yourself. Trust your kids and give them the chance to grow up, parents. Without appreciation, criticism is worthless.
