Officials in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, announced on Thursday that they had apprehended a man from West Bengal who was carrying a stolen firearm.
Lokesh Kumar, originally from Alipurdauar, West Bengal (now Elahibagh, Soura), was apprehended early Monday morning near a joint checkpoint in the area of Regal Chowk, according to police in Srinagar.

On the same evening, he had also stolen a firearm from the home of a legal gun owner. PD of Kothibagh has filed FIR 31/2023,” the police tweeted.
