Ganderbal, July 26: After the position at Sainik School Manasbal had been vacant for nearly a year, the government has selected a permanent Principal.
After the previous principal of Sainik School Mansbal in Ganderbal retired on December 31, 2021, the position of principle became open. During this time, many administrators were given expanded responsibilities in the absence of a permanent principal, but the school’s capacity to function suffered as a result.
An order from Principal Secretary to the Government, School Education Department, Alok Kumar states, “Sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel Gh. Hassan Nath (Retd.) as Principal of Sainik School, Manasbal for a period of two years.”
Both the Jammu and Kashmir Government Employee (Conduct) Rules of 1971 and the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules of 1956 apply to the official in question.
Located in the Mansbal region of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, the Sainik School Manasbal is an English-medium residential school recognised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) New Delhi.
The government of Jammu and Kashmir, with assistance from the Ministry of Defence, runs the school that sends its pupils to the National Defence Academy and other affiliated courses.
