The State Investigation Agency (SIA) has been conducting searches in the Poonch region for the last three days, and on July 31 they arrested a local guy.
The searches are part of an inquiry into a case involving the March seizure of substantial amounts of cash, drugs, guns, ammunition, foreign currency, and incriminating documents from a hamlet.
Since Saturday, numerous teams from the State Investigation Agency (SIA) have been executing a series of raids in the Poonch districts, searching a large number of homes and businesses.
SIA teams are conducting raids in the area of Mohammad Rafi @Rafi Lala, a resident of the Dana Duiyaan village in the Poonch Mandi tehsil.
Authorities detained Rafi Lala in March following revelations about his involvement in anti-national activities, and a subsequent search of his home yielded cash, drugs, guns, and ammunition, all of which were recorded under PSA.The SIA (State Investigation Agency) took up the investigation thereafter.
On Saturday, SIA teams raided many locations in Poonch, including the home of the recently apprehended Mohammad Rafi @Rafi Lala, and again on Sunday, this time targeting the homes of two police officers.
Mohammad Farooq, a guy from Poonch who SIA believes is connected to the previously arrested Rafi Lala, has been apprehended.
Mohammad Farooq and Mohammad Rafi @Rafi Lala have been sent to Jammu for further interrogation by SIA personnel.
