On Thursday, 485 Head Constables with seniority and lien with the Kashmir Zone were promoted to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector after receiving approval from the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar.
According to a statement released by the J&K Police, the promotions were approved by the ADGP Kashmir based on the findings of the Departmental Promotion Committee, which had been established by ZPHQ Kashmir order No. 2754 of 2023, dated July 27, 2023, to evaluate the qualifications of eligible Head Constables for promotion to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector.
The ADGP Kashmir congratulated the newly promoted officers and their families and hoped that they would continue to work hard to keep the peace and enforce the law in Jammu and Kashmir.
