Srinagar, 14 August: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has invited 50 workers and their spouses from all projects to attend this year’s 77th Independence Day celebrations in Delhi.

Project Beacon has extended this invitation to four CPLs. This project is a crucial step towards exposing and recognising the labourers who have made important contributions to the development of border infrastructure in the Kashmir Valley. For the first time, these four labourers, who have been hard at work on various road and infrastructure projects in Kashmir, will be able to watch a national event of such magnitude outside of their native region.

This gesture by the BRO not only boosts labour morale but also demonstrates the organization’s dedication to the welfare of its personnel.

This groundbreaking project underlines BRO’s commitment to employee well-being and recognises employees’ critical role in nation building. These CPLs and their wives will be travelling outside of J&K for the first time, and they are overjoyed to have been offered the opportunity to see the Flag Hoisting at Red Fort on 15 August.
