On October 16, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, the general secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP) and a former minister, paid a condolence visit to the family of renowned journalist Ghulam Nabi Khayal at their home in the centre of Srinagar. Yesterday, Khayal passed away.
Several other party officials, including Abdul Hameed Kosheen, Abdul Qayoom Bhat, Mohammad Shafi Kundangar, Mohammad Arif Laiguroo, Zuhaib Yousuf Mir, Mohammad Iqbal Tramboo, Mohammad Altaf, Fayaz Ahmad, and others, were with Khayal, according to a news release.
They extended their sincere condolences to the family and described Khayal as an accomplished writer and journalist who had devoted his life to advancing knowledge and Kashmir’s rich cultural legacy.
