The Delhi Declaration, which was approved at the G20 meeting a day earlier, has been located, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who made the statement on Sunday.

“I believe that the statement addressing the need to work towards a clear and fair balance of interests has been deemed to be a healthy solution. We are already on the right route, and it is one of the reasonable goals. The following year, when Brazil has the president, and in 2025, when South Africa holds the presidency, we will continue to enhance these favourable trends, Lavrov stated.

In his remarks to conclude the meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that a subsequent G20 summit will be held by video conference in late November. He went on to say, “It will be another chance for us to examine the execution of the agreements that we have achieved today.

A significant retreat from the Bali Declaration from the previous year, which had denounced the “war against Ukraine,” is the Delhi Declaration’s omission of Russia and use of the phrase “war in Ukraine” to describe the Ukraine conflict.

Ukraine had slammed the conclusion paper on Saturday, calling it “nothing to be proud of” and complaining that it omitted Russia.

Regarding the agreement on the Delhi Declaration, the foreign minister of Russia observed, “Perhaps it was the voice of their conscience when they agreed to it.

“To be honest, we didn’t anticipate that. Let me emphasise that we cannot separate the work on the declaration’s other sections from the one on Ukraine and Russia. This year’s declaration’s primary focus is on the Global South’s awakening and consolidation as a group that is really ready to support the G20’s primary objectives.
