In Sopore, the Tehsil Social Welfare office has been closed due to a lack of staff

Tehsildar office staff who were absent that day were questioned to explain their role.

On Monday, August 7th, the Sopore authorities locked the Tehsil Social Welfare office in the Dangiwachi neighbourhood after discovering that its staff had gone missing.

According to the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), ADC Sopore SA Raina reportedly paid a surprise visit to the office earlier today, only to discover that nobody was there to greet him.

He said that the missing workers’ explanations had been requested and that they had been connected to Tehsildar Dangiwacha’s office.

“Tehsildar Dangiwachi has appointed as enquiry officer to investigate the matter and submit his report within two days,” he said—(KNO).
