More than five km were traversed during the Yatra, which was enthusiastically supported by local BJP leaders.

During a press conference Chugh criticised Farooq Abdullah, the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, for saying that India and Pakistan should have talks to achieve peace in the region. He promised that the Modi administration will engage with the community to find solutions to their issues.

It was his opinion that Farooq Abdullah ji should quit turning to Pakistan for answers to domestic issues.

Mehbooba Mufti’s comments that no one in J&K flies the national flag were also criticised by Chugh. “Thousands of people all across the world are marching today carrying Tiranga. He hoped that she would be able to notice JK’s progress.

According to the BJP leader, J&K is now the tourist capital of the nation, where residents are eager for change for the better.
