When a section of a wall fell, trapping him below, he suffered grave injuries while the home was being torn down.
Sumbal, July 26: On Wednesday afternoon, a 55-year-old worker was killed when the house wall he was building on fell in the Shilwat neighbourhood of the Bandipora region of north Kashmir.
An official was cited by news organisation Kashmir News Observer (KNO) as saying that a worker was gravely hurt while demolishing a home when a section of the wall fell, trapping him below.
After the event, he was quickly sent to a local hospital for care, but upon arrival, he said, he was already pronounced dead.
Mohammad Ashraf Beigh, the 55-year-old son of Ganastan Sumbal’s Mohammad Akbar, has been identified as the man.
He said that once all medical and legal procedures were finished, his family members received his corpse.
