Three young boys who attend school have been reported missing from Villgam in the Handwara region of the Kupwara district in north Kashmir since yesterday.

Three young boys went missing on Monday afternoon when they were out playing nearby, according to official sources who spoke to GNS.

Nazim Mumtaz, the son of Mumtaz Ahmad Lone, a resident of Phalmarg, Faizan Hameed Mir, the son of Abdul Hameed Mir, a resident of Kalmoona, and Uzair Ahmad Dar, the son of Mohammad Shafi Dar, a resident of Chammpora, have all been identified as the missing three.

According to the sources, “the parents of the missing boys have filed a missing report at Police Station Villgam.”

SHO Villgam Jaan Mohammad, when reached, verified receiving a missing report into the case. He said, “We have launched efforts to trace the trio,” and exhorted the locals to come forward if they knew anything about the lads. (GNS)
