SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh stated that in the previous two months, five infamous OGWs had been nabbed in Rajouri under preventative provisions of legislation.
Police in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, said on August 2 that they had arrested and charged an Over Ground Worker (OGW) for a terrorist organisation under the state’s Public Safety Act (PSA).
Police have arrested Mohd Altaf, the son of Mohd Iqbal, a resident of Gadyog village in Khawas tehsil, because of the potential danger he posed to society via his illegal activities.
According to him, the District Magistrate in Rajouri issued an order authorising Altaf’s PSA detention after reviewing the police department’s written documentation.
