Bandipora, August 24: On Thursday, the Bandipora police seized property that was registered in the name of the grandparents of a ‘terror associate’ in the city and was reportedly being used as a hideaway by LeT terrorists.
The police placed Mehboob Ul Inam Shah, a resident of Nadihal Bandipora, under a notice of attachment under the provisions of Section 2511 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
The land that was attached was 4 marlas in size and was recorded under Khasra No. 384 in Salam Shah’s (the accused’s grandfather’s) name under “Proceeds of Terrorism” in Case FIR No. 112/2022 under Sections 18, 19, 20, 23, 38, 39, and 7/25 of the LA Act by Police Station Bandipora.
Two Pakistani terrorists, Faisal and Haider, worked in the hideaway that was destroyed by an IED attack in June 2022, a police official in Bandipora informed Greater Kashmir.
