A case was filed in accordance with the relevant NDPS Act provisions after the accused was apprehended four months before.
Poonch, July 30: In connection with a drug case, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) conducted searches at a number of sites early on Sunday in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The searches, according to government sources, were carried out at a number of places, including a drug dealer’s home. They said that the searches were carried out by the SIA team at several Poonch sites “in connection with drug trafficker Rafiq Lala who was arrested four months ago.”
They continued, citing the accused’s detention four months before and the filing of a case under the relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic (NDPS) Act.
