The I.N.D.I.A. alliance has been asking that the Prime Minister make a declaration of peace and solidarity with the people of Manipur in the Parliament since July 20. The Prime Minister has been avoiding Parliament for the last 14 days.Tagore told ANI that they are waiting for him to respond to the question posed by Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi.

As announced by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver his response to the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi must admit that his double-engine government in Manipur has failed, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said on the first day of debate on the opposition’s no-confidence motion.

Why hasn’t he been to Manipur yet? Almost 80 days passed before he said anything about Manipur, and when he did, it was just for 30 seconds. “Why hasn’t the Manipur CM been removed from office yet?” Gogoi said.

In addition, Revolutionary Socialist Party MP N. K. Premachandran told ANI, “We are not expecting much from the Prime Minister because from yesterday’s reply by the Union Home Minsiter, it is very clear that they are not answering to the specific queries raised by the opposition…”

The Union government’s response to the unrest in Manipur was a dismal failure. We are expecting a similar response from the Prime Minister as the Union Home Minister did yesterday,” Premachandran said.

In an apparent jab at Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader, Union Minister Amit Shah claimed on Wednesday that the Wayanad MP had been “launched” 13 times and had failed each time.

One representative in this chamber has been elected to office no less than thirteen times. This group member was a total of 13 for 13. When he went to visit a poor woman called Kalavati, I saw one taking off. You didn’t say what you did to make her happy, did you? Amit Shah said that the Modi administration had supplied the woman with a home, food, and power.

During the discussion on the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha, Shah made the following statement.

Shah, on the other hand, pleaded with the people of Manipur with ‘folded hands’ to put a stop to the three-month cycle of violence in the state and called for negotiations between the Kuki and Meitei populations, arguing that violence is never the answer.

Before the Prime Minister’s response in the lower house, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Kumar Jha told ANI, “The no-confidence motion was not tabled for numbers. We are well aware of the NDA’s overwhelming majority. We’d appreciate it if you (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) could say anything about Manipur. Manipur is eagerly awaiting the prime minister’s response. Three months have passed and the fire still persists.

The RJD lawmaker said, “I only hope that the PM does not dredge up the history as the Union Home Minister did yesterday and does not start with Nehru (Former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru). (ANI)
