Nov. 2, Srinagar: According to police on Thursday, two terrorist associates connected to the Al-Badr group were taken into custody in Srinagar’s Shalteng region.

J&K Police released a statement in which they reported that two terrorist associates connected to the Al-Badr terror group were taken into custody during a late-night security check at a checkpoint near the Shalteng Bridge.

They were recognised by the police as Ghulam Nabi Bhat of Sader Bala, Bandipora, and Basit Nabi, son of Abdul Rashid Dar and Yawar Rashid.
A hand grenade, two handgun magazines, a pistol, 28 pistol rounds, and other weapons and ammunition were found in their possession during the search, according to the statement.
It said that a case under pertinent legal provisions had been filed at Police Station Parimpora under File No. 159/2023.
