Srinagar June 13: On Tuesday, ArifLaigaroo, former PDP state secretary for youth and constituency incharge, warned that the Kashmir division is experiencing a serious power shortage. He released a statement expressing worry about the worst summer power outages in decades. For the previous two weeks, the majority of the Kashmir division has had power for barely four hours a day, and even then, only for spurts of 15 minutes to half an hour. Rising temperatures and unexpected power outages are starting to have a significant impact on the people of Kashmir province.

Only a few can afford to rely on generators or inverters to keep them comfortable, while the vast majority must simply endure the heat. In the previous three decades, no such catastrophe has arisen. The folks have no relief whatsoever,” Laigaroo remarked.
