In a statement released on May 27 from Srinagar, senior National Conference leader and ex-minister Mian Altaf Ahmed expressed his sadness at the loss of four members of a nomadic family in the Kishtwar area.

Mian Altaf Ahmed released a statement in which he expressed his condolences and solidarity with the families of the victims of the tragic accident.

According to Mian Altaf, the village has been severely impacted by the recent storms. During their annual migration to higher elevations, residents have lost animals and endured even worse weather conditions.

Mian Altaf demanded that the government act quickly to help the distressed family. Additionally, he insisted that the grieving family be compensated enough to help them recover from their loss and start again.

Mian Altaf demanded that the LG government help those whose homes had been damaged by the storms and compensate them for their losses.

On Thursday morning, a tree fell on a mud home in the Bhalna forest region of the Keshwan belt in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, killing four people inside, including a married couple. The nomads were taking their animals to Dachhan.
