Nowshera (Rajouri) on June 17: Engineer Gulam Ali Khatana, a BJP MP in the RajyaSabha, said on Saturday that peace on the borders led to economic growth in the border areas, and that people were enjoying the rewards by living in peace and going about their daily tasks without fear.
He said that peace on the borders was made possible by Prime Minister NarendraModi, who worked hard and didn’t follow policies of tolerance.
As part of the “9 SaalBemisaal” celebration of nine years of Modi government, MP Gulam Ali spoke at Dabbar Seri, Lam, and BakoriBudhal in Rajouri border district. He said that people living on borders used to be afraid of shelling, terrorist violence, and firing from across the border, but Prime Minister NarendraModi made sure that shelling and firing stopped. On the other hand, he said, the Modi government started important economic programmes like AtmaNirbhar Bharat, Make in India, and Start up. These programmes helped the economy grow and create jobs in the country.
