Ramban, March 24: Light, medium, and heavy vehicle traffic was still able to access the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Sunday, heading in both directions.

However, due to the breakdown of six large trucks, one road, and poor surface conditions, traffic is still moving slowly at Dalwass, Mehar-Cafeteria, Ramban, Panthyal Magarkote, Shalgari, Nachlana, and other spots along the route between Nashri and Banihal, according to traffic authorities.

Traffic inspectors monitoring Ramban’s traffic laws reported that hundreds of light, medium, and heavy vehicles traveled through the Nashri-Banihal area without any problems throughout the day.

They added that big load carriers are heading to Jammu and Kashmir in a controlled manner.

The Jammu and Kashmir traffic police agency updated its guidance on Monday, telling drivers that mild to medium road cleaning will be allowed on both sides in the case of ideal weather.

After carefully assessing the road and traffic situation on Monday on the National Highway between Udhampur and Qazigund, they said they would handle large trucks.

Authorities still issued a warning to motorists, commuters, and others not to travel on National Highway 44 after dark due to the potential for shooting between Ramban and Banihal. They would like to use the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway exclusively during the day.
