Bhaderwah, Nov. 27: On Monday morning, a car accident occurred in the Tantana region of Gundana tehsil in J&K’s Doda district, resulting in the deaths of two people and significant injuries to the driver.
A load carrier registered JK06B-1533 was reportedly traveling from Thathri to Gundana when it got close to Tantana. The driver then lost control of the steering, causing the truck to plunge into a 250-foot-deep ravine.
“The accident occurred at about 5 a.m. on Tanta-Gundna Road, leading to the on-the-spot deaths of two persons and the animals they were carrying,” said Abdul Qayoom, SSP Doda, confirming the incident. “The driver, namely Aqib Gulzar, received injuries and was shifted to GMC Doda.”
Mir Ali, son of Noor Hussain of Konthal, and Zafarullah, son of Talib Hussain of Dandi Bhala, have been recognized as dead. There is a case file at Doda Police Station.
