After a recent snowfall in the Pir ki Gali region along the Mughal route, the local authorities have decided to stop vehicle travel on the ancient highway as of today, October 16th.
DySP Traffic Rajouri-Poonch, Nawaz Choudhary, informed Greater Kashmir that snowfall in Pir Ki Gali and nearby regions, as well as slippery circumstances on the road, have caused the suspension of traffic on the Mughal route. Choudhary said that the suspension of traffic was necessitated because of the slippery conditions.

He went on to say that the reopening of the roads would be contingent on an improvement in the weather.
