Arms and ammunition were found when a hideout was uncovered in Handwara: police

Kupwara, Sep 16: In a combined operation by the Army, Police, and CRPF in Wadder Bala of the Handwara Sub District, a hideout was busted while weapons and ammunition were found, police said on Saturday night.

An arsenal of weapons and ammunition was discovered, according to a police official, during a search operation in Wadder Bala by the Army 21RR, Handwara Police, and CRPF 92 Bn.

He said that the weapons and ammunition found at the scene included two AK-47s, one AK-56, sixteen AK magazines, three pistols, three pistol rounds, one UGBL, and four UGBL rounds.

At Police Station Handwara, a case has been filed under the applicable provisions, and further inquiries have begun.
