Attempt at infiltration thwarted, terrorist slain in Kupwara, north Kashmir, say police

30 October, Srinagar: According to the authorities, the army and police along the Line of Control (LoC) foiled an infiltration attempt today, leading to the death of a terrorist in the Kupwara region of north Kashmir.

One terrorist was killed and another was captured in a combined operation between the Army and the Kupwara Police that began yesterday in the Jumagund region of the Keran sector. A police spokeswoman on X confirmed that the search was still underway.

Five terrorists were murdered in the Machhil section of the district last week when another infiltration attempt was thwarted.
