A 15-year-old girl from J&K was "abducted" by two Kashmiri teenagers who were detained in Nagpur

Awantipora, September 19: As part of ongoing efforts to rid society of the drug problem, police in Awantipora have detained a drug dealer and seized contraband from his hands.

At a checkpoint set up at Nukdi Crossing Bathnoor, a police team commanded by SHO Police Station Tral and supervised by SDPO Tral detained a suspicious individual. 570 grammes of a drug like Charas were discovered in his possession during the search. Nazir Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Nukidi Bathnoor Tral, has been identified as the man. He has been detained in the police station since his arrest and transfer.


As a result, a case has been filed at Police Station Tral under FIR No. 108/2023 in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, and an investigation has begun.

“We advise the general public to notify the closest police agency or ring 112 if you see drug dealing or any other criminality anywhere around. Police are asking for the public’s assistance in eradicating the drug threat from society. Police assured the locals that they would pursue perpetrators aggressively and in accordance with the law.
