It was announced that the week-long programme seeks to fight corruption and promote openness in the government, guaranteeing that Bandipora is free of corruption.

The District Administration is dedicated to eliminating corruption at all levels, according to Dr. Owais, who spoke at the event. Online services and e-offices, according to him, are crucial to attaining the objective of a corruption-free work culture in administration, expediting bureaucratic procedures, and minimising potential for unscrupulous behaviour.

According to the DC, the district already has more than 200 e-services accessible to make using government services simple.

He said that using digital solutions and current technology is essential to making Bandipora corruption-free. He said that electronic offices and online services increase productivity while reducing the likelihood of corruption.

All of the departments, particularly the executive departments, were given orders by the DC to promptly identify and address any outstanding issues within their own departments. According to him, delays brought on by pending matters might eventually give rise to corruption. He emphasised the need for pending work to be completed promptly.

It was made aware that the ‘Brashtachar Mukt J&K’ Week would include a number of awareness programmes, seminars, and interactive sessions to enlighten government officials and public about the negative impacts of corruption and how to prevent it.
