Blind Murder Case Solved by Budgam Police

Budgam, Nov. 22: After apprehending the man’s own brother in Beerwah on Wednesday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police claimed to have solved the case of a blind murder.

The corpse of Sameer was discovered behind his house on November 20, 2023, and the Budgam Police were notified of this. In response, the police announced that teams from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and the Beerwah police station launched an inquiry right away.

“A number of individuals, including the deceased’s relatives, were brought in for questioning.” Sameer’s brother, Aqib Ahmad, rather admitted to his role once the family members were questioned. Aqib said that on the intervening nights of November 19 and 20, there was a fight between the brothers that ended with Sameer’s murder. Details about the involvement of Aqib Ahmad were revealed by the deceased’s father and sister, who also confessed, the speaker stated.

“Aqib was arrested, and a thorough investigation was conducted, leading to the recovery of essential evidence, including the weapon of offense used by Aqib to assault Sameer,” according to the police.

According to Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the complaint has been filed as FIR No. 143/2023.
