Ganderbal March 9: Admissions to the Central University of Kashmir’s (CUKashmir) Honors and Honors with Research undergraduate programs were announced via the Central University Entrance Test (CUET)-24 on March 9 in Ganderbal. CUKashmir is renowned for its innovative approach to undergraduate education and research integration.
In accordance with the Curriculum and Credit Framework for Undergraduate Programmes (CCFUG), as envisioned by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under NEP-2020, the university will offer four-year bachelor’s degree programs in honors or honors with research, as opposed to the traditional three-year undergraduate programs. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is administering the CUET (UG)-24 entrance exam via the Central Entrance Portal.
B.Sc. (Hons) with concentrations in biotechnology, zoology, physics, and mathematics is one of the programs provided by CUK. Other programs include BA LLB, B.A. (Hons) English, B.Com. (Hons), and BBA (Hons). The Honors Program at this university allows students to choose a single major.
A BA Honors in English and Commerce as well as a BBA Honors in Management Studies will be offered for the first time at CUK. Students may choose from a variety of entrance and departure points, including certificates valid for one year, diplomas valid for two, degrees valid for three, and honors and research programs valid for four years.
In addition, with certain riders, students may continue on to one- or two-year PG and three-year Ph.D. programs.
The university’s VC, Prof. A Ravinder Nath, hailed the new programs as a groundbreaking effort in higher education, noting that they will equip students for success in their academic and professional lives through an emphasis on practical research, critical thinking, collaboration, and exploration of the academic and professional worlds.
