Chugh seeks Punjab's AAP education minister's resignation

The 23rd of October, Chandigarh: After it was reported that the name of Punjab Education Minister Harjot Bains was purportedly included in the suicide note left by an assistant professor named Balwinder Kaur in the Ropar district, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh issued a call today for Bains to be immediately removed from his position in the Cabinet.

A significant number of assistant professors participated in a protest that took place at the residence of an AAP government cabinet member.

According to Chugh, the AAP administration in Punjab has treated the educational system like a laughing stock. On the basis of the suicide note, he urged that a First Information Report (FIR) be filed against the state education minister and that the minister should be suspended from the Cabinet while awaiting the outcome of the inquiry.

Chugh said that the whole education system in the state has collapsed, and the AAP administration has been attempting to obtain political attention on false and phoney grounds. Heugh added that the AAP government has been trying to acquire political notoriety on false and bogus grounds.
