“Har Ghar Nal se Jal” commitment will soon come to pass, says Dr. G.N. Itoo.
Baramulla, November 25: Dr. G.N. Itoo, the Mission Director of Jal Jeevan Mission J&K, along with Aijaz Abdullah Saraf, the Additional District Development Commissioner for Baramulla, and other senior officers, conducted an exclusive tour of the Baramulla district today. They not only engaged with Pani Samitis representatives but also conducted a thorough inspection of the works being carried out under JJM. Additionally, they carried out several activities related to the aspirations of people for development.

After paying a site inspection for several ongoing Water Supply Schemes (WSS), such as Bodibug and Gund Khawaja Qasim, and setting a deadline of December 31, 2023, for the completion of some projects, Dr. G.N. Itoo urged the relevant authorities to finish the schemes on time and to make sure the benefits provided by the scheme are sufficient for the intended population.

Upon examining the Matipora Pattan Water Supply Scheme, the mission director was informed that the project, which is being built at an estimated cost of Rs. 5.28 crore, has a capacity of 50,000 gallons, providing for over 11,000 people in the region.

In their conversation, the JJM Mission Director spoke with Paani Samiti members about their responsibilities within JJM. He also emphasized the need for local communities to assume control of the management and upkeep of the rural water delivery infrastructure.

Dr. G.N. Itoo said in an exclusive interview with the public that the government is dedicated to making sure that every home has access to clean water, therefore raising the standard of living for all citizens. He raised awareness about the significance of the Jal Jeevan Mission and the need to utilize water wisely, urging participants in general and kids in particular to preserve the water for future generations.

As this was going on, the populace expressed their gratitude to Mission Director JJM for implementing the government’s plan, the mission “Har Ghar Nal Se Jal.”

Dr. G.N. Itoo visited Kanispora as well and examined the WSS’s current operations. He was informed that the project would take a total of 1070 crores to complete and would serve a large region.
