Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the assertion on Tuesday, October 3rd, in Nizamabad (Telangana) that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had asked him to bring the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) into the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), but that he had rejected it.

While speaking to a crowd here, he revealed that he and the BRS president had met after the GHMC polls, when it became clear that the BRS would not win a majority and the BJP would.

Modi said that he informed KCR that the BJP would not be joining the NDA and would instead be sitting in opposition.

The Prime Minister allegedly held another meeting with KCR, during which KCR expressed his desire to turn power over to his son, KTR.

He prayed to me, asking that I bless KTR. To which he said, “Yes, I am a Raja maharaja.” People have the power to choose their leaders in a democratic society. That, according to Modi, was their last encounter.

The Prime Minister was explaining to the people of Telangana why KCR had stopped receiving him.

He made the statement that the Prime Minister did not even have the guts to look him in the eye. According to Modi, the Congress party was repaying BRS for its support in the Karnataka election by splitting the vote in Telangana.

Modi attacked the BRS administration harshly, claiming that it had ‘looted’ billions of dollars in federal aid intended for Telangana’s progress.

While hundreds of households gave their everything for Telangana, he said, a single clan now controls the state.

Voting for them helps them pad their wallets. “All they did was spread corruption and family rule,” he said.

Modi warned the public against supporting the Congress party, claiming it has agreed to split the vote no matter what.

The whole nation has spoken, and they don’t want Congress. Losing control in even one state may make it difficult for Congress to recover, he said.

He said that the BRS had allowed the Congress to use its money to buy off voters. There’s a game being played behind the scenes. BRS and Congress are working together for a backdoor entry,” he said. Appealing to the Telangana people to give him five years, he promised to give them back whatever BRS had looted from them.
