Jammu: The hunt for the second terrorist killed in an encounter on the Line of Control on the night of 5 and 6 September resumed on Thursday in the Saujiyan area of Mandi in the Poonch district.

In the meanwhile, the army has released to the media this evening specifics about the large cache of weapons and ammunition and other items seized on Wednesday, along with the corpse of the deceased terrorist.

PRO Defence Lt Col Suneel Bartwal said that among the items found were 1 AK-47, 4 AK-47 magazines, 1 pistol, 2 pistol magazines, 44 pistol ammunition, 1 grenade, 1 binocular, 1 night vision device, 1 pouch, 1 pair of shoes, 2 pairs of trousers, 2 pairs of gloves, 2 jackets, 1 wind cheater, 2 shawls, 1 set inner, 2 mufflers, 6 pairs of socks, 1 knee cap, 2

Apples, dates, salt, namkeen, badam, biscuits, RTE food, Paratha, Chutney, and salt, all manufactured in Pakistan, were found, as was medication.

Two terrorists were killed on the Line of Control (LoC) in the Saujiyan sector during a combined operation with security forces on the night of 5 and 6. On Wednesday, the corpse of one of the dead terrorists was brought back from the scene of the operation.
