Indian state of Rajasthan, Pratagarh, 2 September (ANI): According to the police, three persons were detained after a tribal lady was reportedly battered and exhibited nude in Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh district.
Amit Kumar, the district superintendent of police (SP), verified the details. The woman’s husband and two other suspects were all taken into custody.
The accused allegedly attempted to flee after noticing the cops. They were hurt while trying to flee from the cops.
They are being treated in Pratapgarh’s district hospital, and then they will be brought before the judge.
In Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh area, a tribal lady was reportedly assaulted and displayed nude by her husband and in-laws. After a video went viral, the incident was made public.
Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra said that the event occurred on Thursday in the Pratapgarh district’s Nichalkota village of Pahada Gramme Panchayat inside the boundaries of Dhariyavad police station.

Umesh Mishra, the DGP for Pratapgarh, claims that the woman’s in-laws were responsible for this terrible act. She was abducted by them and brought to their village, where the crime occurred. They found it annoying that she left the marriage and moved elsewhere.
The lady was naked and paraded around the hamlet for almost a km by her husband after she was taken hostage, according to the DGP.
Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, had earlier written on X, “The ADG Crime was despatched to the crime site promptly and we have asked the police to take harsh action against the offenders in line with the law. Criminals like this have no place in a civilised society. A fast track court will be assigned to the case to guarantee prompt administration of justice.
The Rajasthan government was criticised by BJP State President CP Joshi for its permissive stance on crime against women.
Posting on X he said ” Today Rajasthan is ashamed..the fact that the government did not even know about this shameful incident in Pratapgarh shows why Rajasthan has become the number one state in crime and assault against women.” (ANI)
