The transport organisation issued the strike summons days after Jammu held a bandh in response to the Yuva Rajput Sabha’s appeal.

Due to the deplorable state of the route from Jammu to Kathua Lakhanpur, people are calling for the stoppage of toll collection at Sarore Toll Plaza.

We are viewing a chaka jam while engaged in a nonviolent protest. Ajit Singh, president of the Transport Union, was quoted by the news source Kashmir News Observer (KNO) as saying, “Earlier, a small meeting was called at Bhagwati Nagar but a large number of transporters with their vehicles arrived at the venue and to ensure smooth conduct of protest we have taken out a protest rally on roads in Jammu and this is completely peaceful and under law.”

He said that Sarore Toll Plaza Row is the site of the demonstration. In light of events like Raksha Bandhan and the Amarnath Yatra, the decision to provide assistance during the recent Yuva Rajput Sabha strike was postponed.

He continued by saying that the Transport Union decided to conduct today’s “chaka jam” after consulting with all other affiliated unions.
