Jammu, October 16: The Crime Branch’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) filed a chargesheet against a father-and-son team for fabricating a School Leaving Certificate (SLC) in order to get employment with the J&K state government’s Power Development Department (PDD).
According to a Crime Branch official, Bashir Ahmed and his son Mukhtyar Ahmed of RS Pura were arrested for allegedly participating in the formation of a criminal conspiracy in response to a written complaint made by one Sarfaraz Ahmed.
“The complaint claimed the 1979 SLC granted in Mukhtyar Ahmed’s favour was fake. Sarfaraz had submitted the complaint based on details received from Jammu’s Chief Education Officer (CEO) under the RTI Act. The certificate presented by Mukhtyar Ahmed was fraudulent since the admission was made in the name of Nazia Bano, the spokesperson stated.
According to the spokesman, it was determined through pertinent documents and other evidence that the accused and his father conspired to commit a crime. As a result, they were arrested, and a charge sheet was created.
