Srinagar, September 5: Today, a number of festivities were planned in honour of Teacher’s Day by the Dean of Students Welfare at S. P. College. The day is celebrated in honour of Dr S Rhadhakrishnan, President of India, a great visionary & an educationist.
A student-produced documentary about Dr. S. Rhadhakrishnan was shown to kick off the presentation.

The activity was launched by Prof. (Dr.) Gh Geelani Qurashi, the college’s principal, who emphasised the importance of the day. The day’s special visitor, Musheer-ul-Islam, a former PTI of the institution, was greeted by the principal.
The special speaker spoke at the event and used his background as a professor in the Higher Education Department to emphasise the value of a teacher.
