July 5th, Rajouri According to reports from today, four people, including three ladies, were killed and eight others were critically injured after their car went off the Thanamandi Bhangai road in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

In the early hours of Wednesday, a vehicle carrying three families was involved in an accident on their way back to Bhangai village from the Bufliyaz area of Poonch, where they had attended a relative’s funeral.

Twelve people were rescued from the wreckage by local locals and police. Four of them were confirmed dead upon arrival at the Thanamandi sub-district hospital. Bhangai locals Shamim Akhtar, Rubina Kouser, Zarina Begum, and Mohammad Younis have been confirmed as the victims.

Those eight people, namely Shaheen Begum, Zaitoon Begum, Shaheen Begum, Begum Jaan, Fatima Begum, Suriya Begum, Kulsoom Begum, and Mohd Qasim, who were badly wounded have been sent to the GMC Associated Hospital in Rajouri. Their health is still quite precarious.

The accident, which happened about 2:30 in the morning as the car was travelling from Bufliyaz to Bhangai, was verified by Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed, Sub Divisional Police Officer Thanamandi. He claimed that the Thanamandi Police Station has started an inquiry after a report was filed.
