Today, June 10: Srinagar. Jammu and Kashmir is expected to see mostly dry weather on Saturday, with the nighttime temperature rising and settling above average in most areas.

A local meteorologist has informed GNS that the following day and a half will be mostly dry, and that no “large change” in the weather is forecast until June 12.

According to him, the temperature in the summer capital of Srinagar was 16.0 degrees Celsius, up from 14.7 degrees the night before and 1.7 degrees higher than average.

He said that Qazigund, the entrance to Kashmir, saw a low of 13.6 degrees Celsius, which was 0.7 degrees Celsius higher than typical.

According to him, the temperature dropped to 7.6 degrees Celsius at Pahalgam, a popular tourist destination in the Anantnag region of south Kashmir, from 7.2 degrees the night before.

He said that the temperature in Kupwara town was 13.9 degrees Celsius, which was 1.3 degrees Celsius higher than average for the north Kashmir region.

Officials said that Kokernag had a low of 10.8 degrees Celsius, which was 1.3 degrees Celsius lower than average for the area. The previous night’s low was 9.9 degrees Celsius.

He said that the temperature in Gulmarg, a popular ski destination in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, dropped to an abnormally high 11.6 degrees Fahrenheit (2.80 degrees Celsius) on Sunday night.

He reported that the overnight low in Jammu was 27.9 degrees Celsius, up from 26.0 degrees the night before and 2.2 degrees above typical for J&K’s winter capital.

Banihal had a low of 14.1 °C, which is normal, while Batote saw 15.4 °C, which is 0.5 °C over normal, Katra saw 24.6 °C, which is 2.5 °C above normal, and Bhaderwah saw 11.3 °C, which is 2.2 °C below average. Lows of 10.2°C and 15.0°C were reported in Leh and Kargil, respectively, in Ladakh.
