Srinagar, June 27: Omar Abdullah, who used to be Chief Minister and is now Vice President of the National Conference (NC), has said that the government’s claims about creating a lot of jobs and building up facilities are not true.

A press note says that Omar spoke at the south zone meeting of NC at Daksum in Kokernag.

In addition to organising problems and programmes and the current political situation, the participants talked at length about unemployment, governmental indifference, the development gap, the plight of horticulturists, food crises, and the growing use of drugs.

In his speech to the meeting, Omar Abdullah said that the government doesn’t care about what the people think or feel. “All we get to see is bad public relations. Nothing is being done to win people over. “The government’s promises of more jobs and better infrastructure can’t be seen on the ground,” he said. Omar Abdullah said, “The people of Jammu and Kashmir are having a lot of problems right now, but nothing is being done to help.”
