Srinagar, May 19: The Chancellor named Prof Pragati Kumar as Vice Chancellor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) on Friday, and Dr. Bhupendra Nath Tripathi as Vice Chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Jammu.
Jammu and Kashmir is a state in India. Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor and Chancellor of the two institutions, issued two separate directives to that effect.
“I, Manoj Sinha, Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, thus appoint Prof.
Pragati Kumar, Professor, Delhi Technological University, New Delhi, as Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra for a period of three years beginning on the day he assumes charge, on the terms and conditions that would be declared separately,” stated an order.
Dr. Bhupendra Nath Tripathi, Deputy Director General (Animal Science), ICAR, New Delhi, was also named as SKUAST, Jammu, for a three-year term.
“In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 25(1) of the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology Act, 1982, I, Manoj Sinha, Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST), Jammu, hereby appoint Dr. Bhupendra Nath Tripathi, Deputy Director General (Animal Science), ICAR, New Delhi, as Vice Chancellor of Sher-
