On May 17th, police in Jammu issued a warning about a group of international phone numbers they believe are circulating false information about the approaching G20 Summit.

The Jammu police have warned the public not to respond to the following numbers (+44) 7520 693559, +447418343648, and +44 7520 693134, or any ISD number, as they are spreading rumours about the upcoming G 20 event, according to a handout provided to GNS.

A police official has said that calls from these numbers are disseminating anti-national thoughts and propaganda, adding that the public should be on high alert and not engage with any strange calls from unknown numbers.

The message goes on to say that anybody with complaints or questions about the incident may go to the local Cyber Police station or any other police/post office in the area.(GNS)
