Rajouri, July 10: At least four individuals was wounded in twin traffic incidents that took place in Rajouri district on Monday.

According to reports, a collision occurred on Monday afternoon between a truck with the number plate number PB30K 9677 travelling from Jammu to Rajouri and a vehicle with the number plate number JK02BT 6054 travelling in the other direction.

Amir Khan (25), and Sheikh Azhar (both of ward number 8 in Rajouri town), were both wounded in the collision that took place on the Chatyari Bagla link road.

The wounded are now being cared for at GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri. According to authorities, another vehicle, with the number plate number JK02BR 7337, was involved in a collision at Bhimber Gali after leaving Poonch and heading in the direction of Rajouri. Police said that Dungus Poonch residents Mohd Afzal (62), the car’s driver, and his wife, Shamim Akhter (55), were both injured in the crash.

After initial treatment, the two were transferred to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri from the local army hospital. In both cases, police have taken note.
